About the Add Reverb to Audio Online

Completely free: free account, no credits, no limit. It runs in your browser, so your audio stays on your device.

Add Reverb puts any audio file in a space: a small or large room, a concert hall, a church, a cathedral or the bright plate reverb used on vocals. Pick the space, set how much reverb is mixed in and how long the tail lasts, press Preview to hear it live, then download the result as MP3 or WAV.

The reverb is a convolution reverb made in your browser. Each space is an impulse response generated on the spot (noise that fades away over the decay time, with a pre-delay and a tail that gets darker as real rooms do), so nothing is downloaded and your audio is never uploaded. A limiter keeps the loud parts from clipping, and the file is made a few seconds longer so the tail can ring out.

What you can use it for

  • ✓Give a dry vocal or voice note some space
  • ✓Add hall or church reverb to a choir, piano or acoustic recording
  • ✓Make a reverb version of a song for a video or a slowed edit
  • ✓Try how a mix sounds in a room before you commit to a plugin

Frequently asked questions

Which reverb should I use?

+

Small Room for speech and tight drums, Large Room for most instruments, Hall for strings, piano and choir, Church and Cathedral for long, washy tails, and Vocal Plate for singing. Start with the preset, then move Mix down if the sound gets muddy.

What do Mix and Decay do?

+

Mix is how much of the reverb you hear against the dry sound: 0% is the original, 100% is reverb only. Decay is how long the tail takes to die away, from 0.2 to 8 seconds; the preset sets a starting value and you can change it.

Can I hear it before I download?

+

Yes. Preview plays the file with the reverb straight away, and the Mix and Decay sliders change the sound while it plays. Add reverb then makes the file you download.

Does it change the length of the file?

+

The file gets longer by the decay time, so the reverb tail can finish instead of being cut off at the end.

What do I get?

+

An MP3 (192 kbps) or a WAV file, whichever you choose, ready to download straight away.

Is it really free?

+

Yes. It is completely free, with a free account: no limit and no watermark. It runs in your browser, so your audio stays on your device.
