nightclubs we found that sell a song with the birthday guest’s name in it. Sparklers and shoutouts, yes. A song, not yet.
Muted
is what happens to chart songs in a venue’s promo reels: business accounts may only use the platforms’ commercial music libraries.
Seven ways to use it
What clubs, DJs and pubs make with SongUp AI
Clubs, lounges, rooftop bars
A signature anthem for your venue
Every great room has the song regulars wait for. Make yours: your club’s name chanted in the hook, in the genre your crowd already loves, played when the night peaks and again when the lights come up.
Play it at the same moment every night and it becomes the moment people film.
Bottle service, table bookings, birthday packages
Birthday songs for the VIP table
Birthday tables already get sparklers, a shoutout and a name on the screens. A song with the guest’s name in the chorus is the part they post, and nobody else in town offers it. Add it to the package or sell it as an extra.
Take the name with the booking, make the song that afternoon, cue it when the sparklers arrive.
Resident and mobile DJs, radio and stream DJs
DJ set intros and drops
A sung, produced intro with your night’s, crew’s or brand’s name over a full drop, instead of a text-to-speech voice. Open your set with the whole track, or cut the hook into a short drop: Acapella Extractor pulls the vocal out, Audio Cutter trims it to three seconds.
One honest limit: the music engine usually refuses lyrics that hype a person’s DJ name, because it reads like a real artist. Your night or crew name goes through.
Promoters and weekly club nights
Theme-night tracks
Afro Fridays, Latin Saturdays, Desi nights, 2000s nights, ladies’ nights: give each night a theme song in its own genre and language, and the flyer, the reel and the room all sound like the same brand.
Songs come in 76 languages, so a reggaeton night can be sung in Spanish and a bhangra night in Hindi or Punjabi.
Venue social media, event promoters
Promo reels and ads that keep their sound
Business accounts on Instagram and TikTok can only use the platforms’ commercial music libraries, and promo videos with chart songs get muted or blocked. A track made on a paid plan is yours, with commercial rights, so you can put it under every reel, story and paid ad.
One track per event, the event name sung in it: the video and the night share a hook.
Pubs, sports bars, karaoke bars
Pub singalongs, match nights and quiz nights
A singalong with your pub’s name in the chorus for match nights, a jingle that opens the quiz, a song for the darts team. Karaoke bars can turn any track into a backing track with the Karaoke Maker.
Keep the chorus short and repeated: by the third chorus the whole room sings it.
Groups booking a night out, and the venues that host them
Hen, stag, 21st and graduation nights
The friend who organises the night wants a moment nobody forgets. A song with the bride’s, groom’s or birthday person’s name, played in the club with the whole group there, is the best gift of the night.
One song is $2.99 paid once, with a gift page they can share. No subscription.

The birthday-table playbook
Birthday tables are already your best bookings. Here is how to add a song with the guest’s name to the package, without adding work to the night.
STEP 1
Ask one question at booking
“Whose birthday is it, and how do you say their name?” Add their favourite genre if the booker knows it.
STEP 2
Make the song that afternoon
Choose “Birthday table” in the builder, type the name, pick the genre your room plays. It’s ready a few minutes after you press Create.
STEP 3
Cue it for the sparklers
Download the MP3 (WAV on Pro) into the DJ’s library. When the bottles and sparklers leave the bar, the DJ drops it.
STEP 4
Send them the song
Every song gets a gift page with a message and photo. Send the link to the booker the next morning: it’s the post that brings their friends back.
Pricing it is up to you: a song costs you $2.99 on its own, or less than fifty cents on Pro (21 songs for $9.99). Hen and stag groups work the same way: the organiser gives the name when they book.

Rights, in plain words
Can you play it, post it and sell it?
Songs made on a paid plan, or bought one at a time, come with full ownership and commercial rights under our Terms of Service: play them in your venue, put them under your reels and ads, open your sets with them. Each one can be downloaded with a certificate of ownership that anyone can check at songupai.com/verify.
Paid plans and one-off songs
Commercial rights: venue, social media, ads, sets, events.
Free plan
Personal use only. Upgrade before you play it in public.
Your venue licence
Still needed for the other artists you play. A SongUp AI track doesn’t replace it.
Collecting societies
We don’t register your tracks with any. ASCAP, BMI and SOCAN register partly AI-made works, not fully AI-made ones (October 2025). Not legal advice: ask your society if unsure.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can I play a SongUp AI song in my club, bar or pub?
Yes. A song made on a paid plan, or bought on its own for $2.99, comes with full ownership and commercial rights under the SongUp AI Terms of Service, so you can play it in your venue, use it in ads and post it on social media. Songs made on the free plan are for personal use only.
Do I still need a PRS, PPL, ASCAP or BMI licence?
For the rest of the music you play, yes: a SongUp AI track doesn’t change the licence your venue needs for other artists’ songs. SongUp AI doesn’t register your tracks with any collecting society, and ASCAP, BMI and SOCAN said in October 2025 that they register partly AI-made works, not fully AI-made ones. If you’re unsure how your society treats AI-made music, ask them; this isn’t legal advice.
Can I make a DJ intro or drop?
Yes, sung rather than spoken. Choose “DJ set intro” in the builder, type your night’s, crew’s or brand’s name, and the track calls it out over the intro and every drop. For a short drop, run the finished song through the free Acapella Extractor and trim the vocal with the Audio Cutter. The engine usually refuses lyrics that hype a person’s DJ name, because they read like a real artist, so use the name of your night or crew.
Can I choose the BPM and the genre?
Write the genre and the BPM in the description, as the builder does. The engine aims for that tempo but doesn’t always land exactly on it, so check the finished track with the free Key & BPM Finder, and use the Speed Changer to set it to the exact BPM of your set.
How long are the songs, and how fast are they ready?
A full song is usually two to three minutes and is ready a few minutes after you press Create. The free preview is 30 seconds.
Is the name really sung in the song?
Yes, when the song is composed from your words: on Pro, as a one-off song, and in the free 30-second preview of your own lyrics. Free library songs are finished songs matched to your idea, so they don’t include a name.
Which languages can the songs be sung in?
76 languages, including Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, Turkish, Yoruba, Swahili and Zulu. Pick the language in the builder or in the Create studio.
Can I use the song under Instagram Reels and TikTok promo videos?
Yes, a song made on a paid plan is yours to use in your own promo videos and ads. Upload it with the video as your own audio. Business accounts can’t pick chart songs from the in-app music libraries, which is why so many venue reels end up silent.
Can I get a WAV file or separate stems?
Pro includes WAV downloads. Any paid plan can split a song into drums, bass, vocals and the rest with the Stem Separator, for your own edits, extended intros and remixes.
What does it cost?
You can hear 30 seconds of your own track free with a free account. One full song is $2.99, paid once. Pro is $9.99 a month for 21 songs, and the first month is currently $1 for 5 songs. Cancel anytime from your account.
