Lyrics to song
Lyrics to Song AI
Wrote a poem, a verse or a whole song but can’t sing or produce it? Paste the lyrics into SongUp, describe how it should sound, and the AI performs your words with a full arrangement: melody, vocals, drums and instruments.
Custom lyrics are a Pro feature, because every song is composed from scratch around your words. On the free plan you can still hear instant songs matched to your idea, with lyrics already written.
How to turn lyrics into a song
Step 1
Split the lyrics into sections
Put a label such as [Verse], [Chorus] or [Bridge] on its own line above each part. Clear sections help the engine decide where the melody should lift.
Step 2
Describe the sound in the prompt
Genre, tempo, instruments and the kind of voice you want. The prompt shapes the music; the lyrics box holds only the words to be sung.
Step 3
Set the language
Under Advanced, pick the language your lyrics are written in: English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese.
Step 4
Generate and refine
If a line sounds rushed, cut a few syllables. If the chorus doesn’t stand out, make its lines shorter and simpler than the verse.

Tips that make lyrics easier to sing
- Keep the lines in a section roughly the same length.
- Repeat the chorus exactly. Repetition is what makes it memorable.
- Write sounds the way they are sung: “oh-oh-oh”, “na na na”.
- Spell out numbers and symbols: “seven days”, not “7 days”.
- Put directions such as “whispered” or “slow down” in the prompt, not in the lyrics, or they may be sung as words.
- If a name comes out wrong, spell it the way it sounds.

Frequently asked questions
Is lyrics to song free?
Custom lyrics need Pro or a higher plan, from $9.99 a month. Free accounts get instant songs matched to their idea from the SongUp library, with lyrics already written.
Can the AI sing lyrics in my language?
Yes. Songs can be made in English, Hindi, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Korean and Portuguese. Choose the language under Advanced before you generate.
Can I choose the singer’s voice?
Describe it in the prompt: male or female, the tone (raspy, breathy, powerful) and the style (belting, soft, rapped). SongUp doesn’t imitate real singers, so describe the sound rather than naming an artist.
Can I release a song made from my lyrics?
Songs generated on paid plans include commercial rights, so you can release and monetise them. The Terms of Service cover the details.
Can I get the vocals and the instrumental as separate files?
Yes. Run the finished song through the Acapella Extractor or the Stem Separator to get the vocal and the backing track separately.
