Questions about languages
How many languages can SongUp AI sing in?
76. SongUp AI writes the lyrics and sings them with real vocals in Afrikaans, Albanian, Amharic, Arabic, Armenian, Assamese, Azerbaijani, Bengali, Bulgarian, Burmese, Catalan, Cebuano, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Filipino, Finnish, French, Georgian, German, Greek, Gujarati, Haitian Creole, Hausa, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Igbo, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Javanese, Kannada, Kazakh, Khmer, Korean, Kurdish, Lao, Lithuanian, Malay, Malayalam, Marathi, Mongolian, Nepali, Norwegian, Odia, Pashto, Persian, Polish, Portuguese, Punjabi, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Sindhi, Sinhala, Slovak, Somali, Spanish, Sundanese, Swahili, Swedish, Tamil, Telugu, Thai, Tigrinya, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu, Uzbek, Vietnamese, Yoruba and Zulu.
Are the songs really sung in my language, with the right pronunciation?
Yes. A language is only added after test songs were made in it and listened back to, and the language had to be recognised from the audio alone. The lyrics are written in the language itself, not translated word for word from English, so rhymes and phrasing work when they are sung.
How do I make a song in a language other than English?
Type your idea in that language, or name the language in your idea (for example "a Punjabi bhangra song for my brother’s wedding"). SongUp AI picks the language up from the words and the script you type in. You can also choose it yourself under Customize & Advanced on the Create page.
Can I use my own lyrics in my language?
Yes. Paste your lyrics in any of these languages, in its own script, and SongUp AI sings them with music written around them. Lyrics to Song explains how. Open Lyrics to Song.
Are lyrics written in the language’s own script?
Yes. Hindi and Marathi lyrics are in Devanagari, Tamil in Tamil script, Korean in Hangul, Arabic, Urdu and Persian right to left, and so on. 6 of the languages (Arabic, Hebrew, Pashto, Persian, Sindhi and Urdu) are written right to left.
Which music styles can I make in each language?
Any style: pop, rap, rock, ballads, lo-fi, devotional, folk and more. Each language below also lists one style it is famous for, such as Bollywood romance in Hindi, qawwali in Urdu, K-pop in Korean or Afrobeats in Yoruba, as a starting idea.
Is it free to make a song in my language?
You can hear songs in your language for free, and a free account can make a 30-second preview of its own lyrics. Full songs, downloads and more songs a month come with the paid plans on the pricing page. See the plans.
Is there a SongUp AI page in my language?
Yes. Each language below links to a page written in that language, with example prompts and answers to common questions. English is the homepage.
