حماك الله يا الجيش المجاهد

Ḥamāk Allāh yā al-jayš al-mujāhid

May God protect you, O Mujahid army

بساحات الشرف رافع سماها

In the fields of honor, raising its sky

صمودك حطم الخصم المعاند

Your steadfastness shattered the stubborn enemy

وفي الميدان نكلنا قواها

Wa fī al-maydān nakkalnā qawāhā

And in the field, we inflicted damage on their forces

بفضل الله وبطال الشدايد

Bi-faḍl Allāh wa abṭāl ash-shadāyid

By the grace of God and the heroes of hardships

جموع البغي تشرب من وباها

The hordes of oppression drink from its plague

دحرناهم ودسنا كل مارد

Daḥarnāhum wa dasnā kull mārid

We crushed them and trampled every giant

وشحمنا البنادق من دماها

Wa šaḥḥamnā al-banādiq min dimāhā

And we greased the rifles with their blood

رجع عبدالمجوس مهزوم شارد

The servant of the Magi returned defeated and fleeing

وفرت شلته تهرب وراها

Wa farrat šillatuh tahrib warāhā

And his gang fled, escaping behind him

بفزعة قوم في الشدة عوايد

With the help of people accustomed to hardship

عوايدها تلبي من دعاها

Their custom is to answer whoever calls upon them

سرى كمن بطل جندي وقايد

Sarā kam min baṭal jundī wa qāyid

Many a hero, soldier, and leader marched

سرايا في الحروب تبهت عداها

Battalions in wars that dazzle their enemies

وهبوا أبناء القبائل جت تساند

And the sons of the tribes rose up to support

تعزز جيشنا حيا نباها

Reinforcing our army, long live its news

صقور الحرب تقهر كل حاقد

Ṣuqūr al-ḥarb taqhar kull ḥāqid

War hawks conquer every hater

تشتت بالعداء باغي عصاها

They scatter with hostility those who rebel against them

مع الله بالغوا من كان راقد

With God, exaggerate for whoever was sleeping

حيات العار ما يدفى دفاها

A life of shame, its warmth does not warm

ولي جالس من الجبهة محايد

Wa lī jālis min al-jabha muḥāyid

And whoever sits neutral from the front

دعاة الشر ما يسلم أذاها

The callers of evil, their harm will not be safe from

خطر يا أبناء بكيل وحرار حاشد

Danger, O sons of Bakil and free Hashid

بأرضي الفرس يعلوا مستواها

In my land, the Persians' level rises

سلكنا العز ما نرضا التباعد

We chose glory, we do not accept separation

و خضنا الحرب ما نخشى حماها

Wa khaḍnā al-ḥarb mā nakhšā ḥamāhā

And we waged war, not fearing its protection

قسم بالله ما نسمح لفاسد

Qasam bi-llāh mā nasmaḥ li-fāsid

By God, we will not allow a corrupt person

ولا نرحم خصومي في لقاها

Wa lā narḥam khuṣūmī fī liqāhā

Nor will we show mercy to my enemies in their encounter

رؤوس الشر في ناقص وزايد

The heads of evil, in ebb and flow

من القناص تتلقى جزاها

Min al-qannāṣ tatalaqqā jazāhā

From the sniper, they receive their recompense

مقاوم وانت يا رحمن شاهد

Muqāwim wa anta yā Raḥmān šāhid

Resistant, and You, O Most Merciful, are witness

يقايل من طعن في عرض طه

He fights whoever slandered the honor of Taha

فيالق قادمة في صف واحد

Fayāliq qādimah fī ṣaff wāḥid

Legions are coming in one line

تطهرها اليمن من لي غزاها

Tuṭahhirhā al-Yaman min lī ghazāhā

Yemen purifies them from whoever invaded it

نشاما في التلاقي مثل خالد

Našāmā fī at-talāqī mithl Khālid

Noble ones in meeting like Khalid

تصون العهد ما تخلف وفاها

They preserve the covenant, they do not break their loyalty

صقور الحرب تقهر كل حاقد

Ṣuqūr al-ḥarb taqhar kull ḥāqid

War hawks conquer every hater

تشتت بالعداء باغي عصاها

They scatter with hostility those who rebel against them

مع الله بالغوا من كان راقد

With God, exaggerate for whoever was sleeping

حيات العار ما يدفى دفاها

A life of shame, its warmth does not warm

تواجه ما تبالي بالمكايد

Tuwājih mā tubālī bi-l-makāyid

They face, not caring about schemes

تواصل في المساري في لواها

Tuwāṣil fī al-masārī fī liwāhā

They continue on their paths under their banner

على مر الزمن والجيش صامد

Throughout time, the army remains steadfast

يقارع ظلم من أرضي رماها

Fighting the injustice of whoever threw it from my land

قرار الحسم يا الدولة نناشد

Qarār al-ḥasm yā ad-dawlah nunāšid

The decisive decision, O state, we appeal

هدنكم بصراحة ما نباها

Hudnakum bi-ṣarāḥah mā nabāhā

Your truce, frankly, we do not want it

على صنعاء برق بارق وراعد

Over Sana'a, lightning flashed and thundered

وحفل النصر زغدله صداها

Wa ḥafl an-naṣr zaghḍalah ṣadāhā

And the celebration of victory, its echo trilled

حماك الله يا الجيش المجاهد

Ḥamāk Allāh yā al-jayš al-mujāhid

May God protect you, O Mujahid army

بساحات الشرف رافع سماها

In the fields of honor, raising its sky

يا يمن يا أرض المجد والعز

O Yemen, O land of glory and pride

عسى النصر يعم أرجاها

May victory prevail throughout its regions
