وتألَّقَ الخطُّ الجميلُ على الجبينْ

Lil-ḥarfi fī kaffayka sirrun sāḥirun

والخطُّ في إبداعِكَ المتفرِّدِ

ترسمُ، فتنبعثُ الحضارةُ من سطورٍ

You draw, and civilization emanates from lines,

ويظلُّ فنُّكَ في القلوبِ مُخلَّدًا

Wa yaẓallu fannuka fī al-qulūbi mukhalladan

ما كان خطُّكَ مجرَّدَ حبرٍ عابرٍ

بل كان فكرًا بالمعاني يُزهِرُ

In Khudair's house for advertising, art grew,

فنٌّ يُجسِّدُ روعةَ الفكرِ الرصينْ

An art that embodies the splendor of profound thought.

والحرفُ من أكريليكَ حينَ نصوغُهُ

Wa al-ḥarfu min akrīlīka ḥīna naṣūghuhu

And the letter, when we craft it from acrylic,

يبدو كأنَّ النورَ فيهِ قد استكانْ

Yabdū ka'anna al-nūra fīhi qad istakān

Appears as if light has settled within it.

صبرٌ ودقَّةُ صانعٍ ومهارةٌ

Patience, precision of a craftsman, and skill,

وبراعةٌ تُروى على مرِّ الزمانْ
