SongUp AI vs Songfinch
The short answer
Songfinch and SongUp AI both turn your story into a custom song with the person’s name in it. On Songfinch, a real human artist writes and records it, you review a lyric draft, and the song takes days. On SongUp AI, the song is composed by AI from your story in a few minutes, costs $2.99 paid once with no subscription, and is sent as a gift page that plays with your message and photo. Choose Songfinch for a human performance and a bigger budget; choose SongUp AI for a last-minute or low-cost gift, or for a song in another language.

Frequently asked questions
What is a good Songfinch alternative?
If you want the song quickly and at low cost, SongUp AI composes an original song with their name in it in a few minutes for $2.99, sent as a gift page with your message and photo. If you want a human artist, Songfinch is the established choice.
How long does Songfinch take?
Songfinch songs are written and recorded by an artist, so they take days rather than minutes; see songfinch.com for current delivery options. SongUp AI songs are ready in a few minutes.
Is an AI custom song as good as one from a real artist?
It is different. A human artist gives a unique performance and can talk with you about the song. An AI song is ready in minutes, costs far less, and you can hear a preview and make another version straight away if the first isn’t right.
Can I hear the song before I pay?
On SongUp AI, yes: a free account can hear 30 seconds of its own lyrics sung once, in most countries. The full song needs a paid song or plan.
Do I own the song?
A song bought for $2.99 or made on a paid plan is assigned to you with commercial rights, as set out in section 3 of the SongUp AI terms, and comes with a certificate of ownership anyone can verify.
