Ana ma 'araft ahsan waghla min 'iyal al-'amm

I haven't known anyone better or more precious than my paternal cousins

ذي ما بين خلق الله على طول ينحبو

Dhi ma bayn khalq Allah 'ala tul yanhubbu

Who among all people are always loved

لامن جيت لي حاجه علا ابو محمد قم

Laman jit li hajah 'ala Abu Muhammad qum

If I ever need something, Abu Muhammad stands up

اشوف الجميع اقيام علا حاجتي خبو

Ashuf al-jami' aqyam 'ala hajati khabbu

I see everyone standing ready to hide my need (help me)

نشامى قسم بالله حرام انهم ونعم

Nashama qasam billah haram innahum wa ni'am

Noble men, by God, it's forbidden (to deny) that they are excellent

واضح من عوايدهم على الجوده اتربو

Wadih min 'awayidhum 'ala al-judah atrabo

It's clear from their customs that they were raised on goodness

حزام الظهر عمي محمد جلات الهم

Hizam al-dahr 'ammi Muhammad jallat al-hamm

My uncle Muhammad is the support, he removes worries

بدونه حرام انهم حول الطيب ماطبو

Bidunah haram innahum hawl al-tayyib ma tabbu

Without him, by God, they wouldn't have touched goodness

شقردي مشبب جيد ابو عادل المحزم

Shaqardi mushabbab jayyid Abu Adel al-mahzam

A brave, energetic, good man, Abu Adel is the belt (support)

رفيق الدجا فعلن فلا غيره اتخبو

Rafiq al-duja fi'lan fala ghayruh atkhabbu

A companion in darkness, truly, there's no one else to hide with (rely on)

هذا هو جزا الاحسان مثل ماتقول اسلم

Hadha huwa jaza' al-ihsan mithl ma taqul aslam

This is the reward for kindness, as you would say, 'peace be upon you'

مدحت الرجال الي معا الوقت ماخربو

Madaht al-rijal alli ma'a al-waqt ma kharabu

I praised the men who haven't been corrupted by time

سلامي سلام الله علا اهل الشهامه عم

Salami salam Allah 'ala ahl al-shahama 'amm

My greetings, God's greetings, upon the people of chivalry, my uncle

اهل الكرم والجود علا الطايله شبو

Ahl al-karam wal-jud 'ala al-taylah shabbu

The people of generosity and bounty, they rose to prominence

رجاجيل في القمه معا الوقت تتقدم

Rijajil fi al-qimma ma'a al-waqt tataqaddam

Men at the peak, progressing with time

بدون الرجال الي معا الوقت ينكبو

Bidun al-rijal alli ma'a al-waqt yankabu

Without the men who are not defeated by time

الهي اله الكون جعل ما يشوفو غم

Ilahi Ilah al-kawn ja'al ma yashufu ghamm

My God, God of the universe, may they never see sorrow

ولا اهل الوفاء يبطون للخير يتنبو

Wala ahl al-wafa yabtun lil-khayr yatanabbu

And may the people of loyalty not delay in seeking goodness
